How to Order.

You may order specimens using our checkout or by contacting us via e-mail. We accept payment by personal check, bank check, money order or the secure online credit card service of PayPal. Except for personal checks, all items will be shipped immediately upon receipt of payment. Items purchased by personal check will be shipped as soon as the check clears. When placing an order be sure to correctly list the mineral species and identification number.

All prices are negotiable within limits. If you wish to discuss a specimen please advise us via e-mail and we will place that specimen on reserve until negotiations have been settled or for 3 business days, whichever is longer

Since all of our specimens are approximately the same size, shipping charges in the United States can be generalized and assessed in advance as indicated on the order form. All specimens will be sent Federal Express (FedEx) ground to destinations in the USA. The somewhat higher cost is offset by greater reliability and less frequent instances of damage. The current domestic shipping and handling charge, including insurance, will be US $9.00 for the first item and US $4.50 for each additional item.

The shipping and handling charges for international orders are determined individually. Overseas orders will be shipped airmail, fully insured with full value declared on the package. All shipping charges for international orders will be determined by cost for shipping and insurance on an individual basis. Therefore, all international orders should be placed by e-mail.

In addition to credit cards, International orders may be paid for with International Postal Money Orders, International Bank Draft (with A.B.A. number), or wire transfer.

If the customer requests that the full value not be declared on the package, AND agrees to assume all risk for loss or damage, the package will be sent uninsured with the contents labeled "Geologic samples for scientific study. No commercial value". International customers must request this at the time of shipping.
